People with hearing difficulties have a new choice in telephones – one with a massive 43 decibel ringtone which also features a highly visible bright red flashing light.
The phone has been unveiled this week by Noisyphones, the sole distributor in the UK, and is available from the company’s website, www.noisyphones.com, for a price of £89.95.
Other features include a large keypad with 1” dialling buttons enabling easy use for those who cannot see well or whose fingers may not be as nimble as they once were.
A further feature is a speed-dial facility with buttons that can be replaced with pictures of family members or friends making number identification much simpler.
The phone also has three emergency buttons which can be programmed to include the 999 emergency services, a doctor's on-call number or a neighbours or relative's number.
Noisyphone has both adjustable volume and tone controls with a ring volume from zero to its full capability of a very loud 43db. What is equally important and useful for the user is that the actual conversation volume via the phone's earpiece is also much louder than any other normal telephone making conversation easier.
